I'm looking into a spinning cast and heard alot of good things about how light it is. Can someone tell me what kind of blank they are using? I'm sure they buy their blanks from another manufacturer or do they produce their own blanks.....

Mike buys his blanks from a supplier. They are high quality blanks. I have purchased 10 rods from and everyone has been great. On the the spinning rod get the I-10 blank. Go to Fun-N-Sun and visit with Mike and tell him what you want and the type of fishing you will be doing. Warranty policy cannot be beat.

He goes to Houston to pick up his blanks, if that helps. I just bought my first one and love it. Waiting for the Honey Hole/Fun n Sun promo to buy a couple more.

Just because the rod is custom, i'm not willing to pay for that price unless i know more about the blank. but thanks anyway

Hello Biddy: Michael here. The blanks we use are not a company most would know about. I can say our blank builder has the largest fishing tackle store in the USA. He is one of the best I have ever seen. Most of our blanks are built from Gary Loomis's original plans using todays material. I hope I have helped if I can do more give me a call 817-229-9341 good fishing.

Biddy, I currently have the IM8 782 Spinning Rod and use it for Shakey Head. I have some free time since I am currently unemployed and could meet you somewhere if you want to try it out. I do have an IM10 on order and cant wait to play with it!
PM me if I can help you with anything!

Biddy, I have a 783 Spinning Rod I use for the application that Jimmie M. uses. It just a matter of how stiff you like the rod. Both are super sensitive. I fished with a 782 for a while and for me I wanted something stiffer in a 783. Good luck and enjoy you one.
