Good stuff Carl. A shock boat will tell you in a hurry what we have been missing. Night fishing is probably REALLY good out there with the clear water on a full moon. I may have to try that this summer. I need to buy some night vision goggles.

Good Post! I was there in the summer, fished during the day and it was a dink fest! That clear water sure would be easier to fish at night...

Actually Cali, the wind was blowing, but not as bad as usual. About 10-15 SE. The windblown banks were actually some of the better areas. Gonna go tomorrow night and see what I can do.

Doesn't surprise me; I figured the bluegill spawn was happening or something. I went to Raybob yesterday evening from 7-dark and only caught 3 fish, but they were all 4 and 5lbs and were so shallow I'm surprised their dorsal fins weren't sticking out of the water. I would only get one turn of the handle before my crankbait would get smashed. Wish I would have known that the first hour I fished...I cranked two deeper points and some bridge riprap before saying 'screw it' and beating the bank. It seems like every time I'm convinced I'm being an educated angler and fishing deeper...there are fish in 1ft of water. Go figure...

Well, it ended up being like I thought. Fished from midnight to 4AM and had 16 fish. Smallest went 2 1/2 and the biggest went 7 ! Black Buzzbait was the ticket tonight. Trailer hook got every single one of them. The wind picked up to around 20-25 so I came home or I would still be out there. Also tried an SB, 16 inch worm and a crank. All in black. No takers. Slow, slow retrieve on the buzz. 2-4 ft. next to the shallow broomweeds.

Man that is good info, thanks for sharing. I know someone with a new boat and I'll be emailing him and another friend with this info.
