TX 3 Bass will be @ Lake Grapevine on May 9th 2009

I am posting this way ahead of time for everyone...

Start time will be Safe light and end at 3pm.
Registration will begin at 6am
weigh-in will be begin at 2:30pm and you must be in line no later then 3pm.
Registration and Weigh-in site will be at Katie woods boat ramp.
Entry fee is $20 plus $5 for Big Bass pot for each person..
You may fish solo or with a partner(solo(one person) = 3 fish
team(2 or more people) = 3 Fish). The choice is yours.

If you have not filled out a RELEASE OF LIABILITY you can do so by clicking on the link.. I will also have copies with me.. You must fill out this form only once before you can enter TX 3 Bass Tournaments...

Length requirements for Lake Grapevine
Largemouth must be under 14" or over 18" to keep
Smallmouth Must be a minimum of 14"
There is NO SIZE LIMIT on Spotted Bass and will be checked by spot on tongue and by the dorsal fin

how many boats you already got registered for this one?

We average between 25 to 30 entries right now and hoping to increase those numbers as we hold more tournaments. Registration is on the morning of the tournament...

Just for clarification on the tourney fee, is it $20 + big fish for each angler or twenty per boat and $5 big fish for each angler? thanks!

hey joe last tourny some guys came in with 4 fish in the bag to see if one could go 18 on your bord. wats the limit on fish we can bring in to see if they can hit 18in. ?

If you are carrying an illegal size Bass and a Game Warden happens to be there you know they will write you a ticket plus you are breaking the law of having an illegal size Bass in your possession. Now I know mistakes are made when measuring fish and they can shrink in a live well. With that said you can have a daily 5 legal fish limit and since I only weigh in 3 of them, I don't see a problem with having more then 3 in a bag. I will NOT weigh in a dead Bass nor will I weigh any illegal size Bass. I will only measure 3 Bass during the weigh in for each team or person in a timely manner and to The Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept guidelines of measuring fish correctly (total length). TPWD Website here. So you must decide before you come to the line what 3 Bass you want weighed. The official Ruler for TX 3 Bass is the Check It Stick.. If you would like to check your ruler to the Check It Stick that is fine but please do it before weigh in.

Is there a minimum boat length / motor size for this tournament?

Also do you have to be a memeber of the club to fish this tourney or is it an Open?

its a open Tournament so anyone can fish this and there is no boat length / motor size limit.
