I'd say find a protected area and you'll find fish spawning.

At 1 at the little elm park people were catching big fish 10ft from shore. We caught all of our fish shallow for the most part. The spawn is on NOW.

+1 for what Brian said. We launched at Little Elm park and ended up fishing a cove and came home with 23 keepers. All caught in about 2' of water. They're in there right now. Good luck and God bless.Oh,and Brian, nice 81 Porsche you have for sale.

Is the crappie spawn the reason so many folks are parking near the Lake Lewisiville bridge on I-35 to fish? I wonder if they are catching them in the big rip rap (rocks). I drive by almost daily and see 8-12 vehicles parked along I-35.

Same at 380 on Lavon. 20+ vehicles everyday. Good fish also.

My neighbor caught some MONSTERS out there yesterday. He didn't bring home a fish under 13.5".

Hmmmm...I usually target sandbass and largemouth since I'm not good at Crappie fishing and I fish from shore 95%....might be time to try to get some Crappie in the rip rap off the I-35 bridge.....may even pick up some minnows instead of throwing artificials for a change.
