I saw on another thread that parts are hard to get. I have a 1999-90 hp Force/Mercury Marine. There is no problem with it now but should I be looking for another motor to replace it if they are no longer making parts for it?

1999? Your fine. I have a 1978 Chrysler 85hp and I can still find parts just fine. If the motor runs and works fine, use it till it doesn't!

Ive got a 98 40 hp mercury force outboard that runs great. I knew some parts one day might be hard to get however I only paid $700 for it last summer.

Lakeview Marine in Duncanville has all the parts you will ever need for Chrysler/Force motors. Also you can order stuff online. I know if I can find parts for my 1978 motor anything from the 90s should be easy to find as well.
