Well after a Stormy Friday and a very Foggy Saturday morning I would say the fishing was great. It took over 20 pounds to win this tourney and 2 teams got it done with ounces between the two for first and second. Brought up by a 3rd place team with just under 19 pounds. I believe everyone had a good time and caught some fish, I also put a $100 out to who ever brought me a big sand bass and 1.5 pounds took that money. In the past I have gotten skunked on this lake many times, and if anyone says there is golden algae in Lake Whitney and all the fish are dead, I double dog dare you to come prove it after this weekend, John and I fishing Team No Sweat did not catch but 2 unders and the rest were over 8 pounds. These fish were not sick. SO if you want to have a good time catching some stripers Lake Whitney is where it is at right now.. We had a good turnout with 4 or 5 new members signing up, and some more locals joined us as well. Thanks to Uncle Gus for having us we enjoyed it 1st Place with 21.48 pounds Team Redneck 2nd Place with 21.16 and a 13.06 big fish Team Happy Hunter 3rd Placen with 18.90 Team No Sweat We hope to see everyone at the next tourney at Lake Belton in May.I should have this post very soon. You can also check out the website for more information. www.texasstriper.comThanks to everyone... Danny

Thinking about going down to Whitney tomorrow. What part of the lake is best? Gonna take my 5 yr. old and hope to help him catch a big one. Bait or Lures? thinking of putting in by the Katy bridge. This will be my first time there.

Well...you guys told me to go to Whitney, but I went crappie fishing instead.
Congrats Highteck Redneck for winning it all. Man -- Hunter is really getting to be a young man!!! Nice big fish for Team Happy Hunter too!!!
Danny and John are putting it on the competion - nice catching men.

Had a great time again. Great to see all the good fish at weigh in. The best thing is that these fish where caught all over the lake, not in just one area. Whitney is definately back and getting better each month. Man, Hunter has really grown since I seen him last, and catches big fish. Here's a pic of our 2 biggest. Like Danny said, at the end we where catching and releasing 8 LB Stripers. What a day.

I know Danny drags his feet posting the results on the TSA site...... ....but I sure am curious about how many total lbs were weighed. A load for sure.

Danny, you and John look way to clean to have been fishing a tourney. Are you sure Hightech did not give you a couple of his culls? Great seeing the picture of George and Hunter as well. It's good to know Whitney has come back. Maybe one of these days I'll get my boat out of drydock and join y'all.
