I've heard about these jackplate foils that claim to give you a better hole shot, and to keep your boat on plane at lower speeds. Does anyone have one, or know of these, if so... do they meet their claims? I have a 21' Stratos with a 200 Evindure XP along with 3 trolling batteries, and 1 cranking battery. Lot of weight in the back. Don't care if it takes a little off my top end speed, more interested on keeping on plane at lower speeds. There is a brand called Nedski, who I believe makes them over in Seabrook Tx. Would it work with a hydrolic jackplate? Also, any information where I could buy one would be great!

I have a NEDSKI, Basically you have to have a hydrolic jack plate and really need a tunnel to make this unit preform as it should. If you are not using the jack plate and no tunnel, I would highly recommend using a Whaletail XL. It will help greatly to get the boat on plane and also try some transom wedges. Between the whaletail and transom wedges, I think you will be very satisified.........There are a lot of other things that you can do but the tail and wedges are a lot less money than the NEDSKI.

Thanks Mike, I do have the hydrolic jack plate, but no tunnel. I am not a big fan of the whaletail and other type hydrofoils that attach to the cavitation plate by drilling holes... seen a few on bigger motors that caused damage to the lower unit. But, the price is right, and I see Sting Ray makes one that resembles a tunnel type foil that requires NO drilling. May give this one a try.

Thanks,
