Who insures your boat and have they taken care of you when you have a claim?
I have Allstate.
I've had 3 claims over the last 6-7 years and they took care of me every time with no hassles. I knocked the lower unit off my old Triton 2 times and had all my gear stolen a little over 2 years ago. They have been easy to work with and never argued about a single claim.

I have progressive but have never filed a claim as of yet..... a friend of mine had a claim with progressive on a total loss of his boat and it took forever for him to get satisfaction.....(they kept wanting to repair his boat, etc)

Allstate here also, also have had 2 claims in the last 2 years, no hassle , no run around. Took care quickly and correctly in my opinion.

Progressive,,,,,just changed over from Foremost. Heck of a better package at the same rate. Plus my Farm Bureau agent carries the Progressive so I shouldn't have any problems if there is ever a claim.

Progressive, was with Anglers Advantage good coverage, fast claims but they don't like to cover older boats, hence I switched.

State Farm since I bought my first boat back in 1990 Just got a letter yesterday stating they will not be renewing me due to claim history. Lower unit 2003 Lower unit 2008. 2 Claims in 6 years! I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with my credit score taking a nose dive in the last 6 months.
anthonyhicks101 for president! Greatness right there.

Progressive. 1 claim for a total loss. No problem. Insured my next 2 boats with them and no problem. Get agreed price coverage.

I have owned and operated a body shop for over twenty five years. State Farm is the best company I deal with. USAA is a close second. I have my home, five autos, boats, travel trailer, and even some life ins. with State Farm. I have had numerous claims over the years and have been very pleased with the results. Insurance coverage has a lot to do with your agent and the adjuster working with the repair shop. Some of the smaller companies are harder to deal with because they use independent adjusters. They want to work for the company again so they write very tight estimates. The shop you choose for the repairs can also help get your claim properly handled. Choose a good shop and everything should go smoother.

progressive was the only insurance company that I could find that would insure a "Bullet". The other companies said they would not insure a boat capable of running well over 80 mph.

Progressive and I have had no claims. I also have a ZERO deductible due to not having any claims. I sold it to myself, but I sell boat insurance for other companies as well.

One thing you guys need to be aware of is the TYPE of policy you are purchasing... Progressive is one of the few that offers TOTAL REPLACEMENT COVERAGE....that is not Agreed Value or Actual Cash Value....Thats TOTAL replacement at time of loss...Have any questions or want a quote? www.holder-insurance.com I am a fisherman and understand your concerns...

USAA hooked me up with Progressive when I went to insure my boat with them. I think USAA still acts as a monitor to ensure Progressive takes care of their members.
