Put in at 2859 Bridge today and headed up towards Chambers Creek. There is a creek I fish that way for blues and crappie. Buddy of mine was in there before the cold front and the shad were everywhere. I was up in the shallows today as well as the deep and couldnt get a bite. Shad was very hard to find as well. Water temps dropped drastically. I will probably wait until Wednesday and give it another shot.

I went yesterday and could not find the shad on the banks either. I ended up finding a couple dozen in about 10 foot of water and we fished a hump in about 30 foot of water and caught 45 all good eating size no big ones though.

My boy is out right now baiting trotlines which are deep (18ft)and jugs (6-8ft). If he does any good I'll post again and let you know. He is using shad we caught in our channel yesterday at sundown - they were thick. Water temp in 5ft deep cove was 69 degrees at 2:30 pm today. I'll bet the cats will be moving in following shad.
