Need opinions...what are the best/inexpensive chest waders? I'm going to be buying some in the next week or two. Wanted to get yall's opinions on this. I don't want to spend a lot...I will be using them, but not just a whole lot.

Thanks in advance.

Fishingallday: are the neopreme booties on those breathable waders waterproof or do you have to wear them with some sort of waterproof boots? Just curious because scuba diving wetsuits are made of neopreme, and they let water in (hence the name wetsuit). Pardon my ignorance, but I have never had a set of waders and am also thinking of buying some.

I don't always catch fish, but when I do, I prefer Dos Hybrids

Neoprene waders are perfect when in cold water. You don't get wet (like a wetsuit) and they help keep you warm.

That's what I use, got them for hunting, but use to fish as well. I also ripped mine on a barbed wire fence, but got some AquaSeal and it patched them right up.

Youre much better off if you go ahead and spend the money now on a good pair on neoprene waders, they will last a lot longer which will also save you money in the long run. The cheaper stuff doesnt last long, and it sure isnt any fun when that cold water comes rushing in on you when youre fishing. And the neoprene waders keep you nice and warm in the cold water. This time of the year is about the only time I use waders, so the water is still pretty darn cold right about now, so thats another reason why I prefer the neoprene waders. I think the ones I use today are around ten years old and still kicking.

The boots and other parts will dry out and crack. This happened to mine after only a few times of using them. Last time i used them, i ended up with several cups of water in my right boot and a wet crotch. My buddy has them too and same thing happened to his.
