Last night was awesome. I took a friend out to a local pond in Carrollton for some kitty hunting and we found em. It was cool right away because we found a dead 4lb bass on the bank with a big perch in it's mouth, it choked and died becuase of the size. I netted the bass and pulled the perch out to use for bait but it was still alive and released the perch back into the pond. I could not bring mydslef to kill him and use him as bait after he had survived the bass attack. Soldier Perch.

We did a little bass fishing with the sun light that was left and i had put two rods in for the kitties with Secret 7 dip bait on em on the bait tubes, and then from about 40 yards away i saw the twitch. I ran to the rod and waited and then hunkered down on it and got em. Good fight with solid personla best channel 6-10lbs easy, scales were broken, cell phone dead and no camera, so no pics. Horrible but still a great catch. Fished from 6pm to 10:15pm got four total, 2 6-10 pounders all caught and released to fight another day. It was great. This weekend i am going to get a camera for sure. Thank God for that awesome night. Secret 7 strikes again. Great spot to for bass and kitties, anyone ever want to go out let me know i'll go anytime, call me

They call it fishing, not catching for a reason..

Just one cast and you could have your name in the books!

Is this where there are two ponds on a golf course near Old Denton rd. and 121? If so, are you fishin the bigger of the 2 ponds? Any problems with the golfers or the neighbors?

I may want to give it a shot on Sunday if I am able to get out.

If you take 121 to Old Denton then go South, make a left on King Arthur and go down and then it is on the left. No problems at all, security is cool they will come by and ask how are they bitting and so on. Great spot. Give me a shout i can show you some of the holes, i live 10 minutes away

I used to fish out there this past summer daily, and caught a bunch of small bass, however, I had 1 4lb and 2 3lb. I was never able to catch any cats.

The plan is to get out there tomorrow afternoon. I met a guy fishing the other night who doesn't have anyone to fish with and wants to go to some new spots so we may head out there tomorrow. He fishes cats and I fish bass so this may be the spot to go. If we end up making it out there it will probably be around 1:00pm and stay for a few hours.

My son is going to get his tonsils out on Tuesday so for the next week I will be laying low with the little guy. I am hoping for a good day tomorrow to get me through all of the Zack and Cody I will be watching the next week.

Big pond on lady of the lake or...?

I'll bring my cat gear. WAY too windy tomorrow for any other kind of fishing. North end looking into the wind will prolly be the best.

Well we ended up not getting out there until about 5 but oh my goodness. I was fishing for bass and caught one small dink right away and nothing after that but my buddy was cat fishing and he pulled in at least 12 or 13 in the two and half hours we were there. He started with two poles and had to cut back to one because while he was reeling in the first the second was starting to run.

There was a guy with his son out there who said his son is on the TFF so I am sure he can corroborate the story. It was unbelievable. My buddy said that he had never caught so many in such a short amount of time.

Almost made me want to put down my bass gear and try for the cats but I am too darn stubborn.

Way to go guys, it is a nice spot for kitties and bass. What was he using for bait and where did he fish from? I was told that the record there is 36lbs for a cat and 13+ for a bass, i do not know the validity of that though. I will be out Thursday night around 6pm God willing with my wife and some friends. We will be on the South end by the new patio structure thing. Come out if you can.

We were fishing off of the half circle shaped dock, right in the middle, and using chicken livers. I know I won't be able to make it out there on Thursday, my son is having his tonsils taken out tomorrow so I will be at home for the next week or so. I will let you know the next time we go out there.
