I have a calcutta 251 that's a POS. Not as smooth as they typically are, and may need a new main gear. I replaced the pinion gear, handle, palming side bearing, yoke, and the drag washers, but to no avail. It still sucks.

I went to Academy today and looked at the new 7000's ABu's and they where made in China.

I have a 5600 C4 (blue/gold) and love it. Also, have a 5500 (not BCX) that was made in Sweden & have no complaints (purchased about 4 years ago). I've wanted a C3 for a while but am spoiled by the thumbar release on the 5600 that I can't bring myself to buy one. If I need another Ambassaduer I think I would have to buy the Record or another 5600. I like the thumbar release.

the 4600 C3 has a thumbar release... the larger ones (5600 and up) do not. I like the 4600 size better and they still hold plenty of line if you fish braided line.
