I liked the feel of the Carrot Stix but I don't want to spend $150. I liked the light weight of them.
What is a good light weight med heavy rod for under $100?

Look at the Castaways. They are good rods and reasonably priced.

The BPS Extreme XPS graphite is one of the best inexpensive rods. Normally $99.99 They will be on sale during the BPS Spring Sale (in a couple of weeks, check date) for $69.99. They are light and sensitive rods.

The Original Falcons are excellent values.

For about $100 the St. Croix Mojo Bass rods are excellent.

+1 on the Mojo.

I picked one up last Saturday and paired it with my new Citica E and I can't put it down. 7' MH Spinnerbait rod for $89.00, can't beat it.

Or wait until Academy has one of their "Rod Riot" sales and pick up a Falcon Cara for $99.

like said above, the castaways are great entry level rods for a good price. thats all i own and could afford last year. lookin to upgrade this yr to kistler. dicks sporting goods has the pro sprort series for 55 or 60 bucks that are more sensitive and have an exposed reel seat.

I was at BPS today and they have the Browning Citori rod on sale for $69.99 down from $119.00. I don't know much about Browning rods but it seemed very light and $50.00 off regular price is very nice.

I bought a rod from Acadia Sports last week for 49.85 plus you get a free rod. I am no expert but I am very impressed, they don't look or feel like a cheap rod. I got a 6.6 M for crankbaits and it works very well. Got a 7ft H for my free rod but havent tried it yet. I intend to order a couple of the P series,I think they are about $75.00, before the two for one sale ends.
