Well I went out to Twin Buttes this evening and tried everything I knew to do, but had no luck. So if anyone has any tips or advise I could use it. I also dont have a boat right now so I was fishing off the bank..so any adivse for that except "buy a boat" is appreciated.

Thanks!

I B no expert, but winter fishing from the bank is not easy.

You might consider fishing the Concho in town. On Beaugard past Magdalen is Massie funeral Home. That stretch of water might be promising. Park in the back of the parking lot and throw along the walking path. I found what seems like a collapsed bridge between the park west of the FH. As I understand, transition between muddy and rocky bottoms are interesting for bass. Might give it a try.

If interested, the Paul Ann Bass Club will meet 2-2-09 at 7PM. PM me for details if interested. Might be a good way to get some local info and make some contacts .... like guys with boats!

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of ... Aww Hogwash! Set me on the fish, dude!

TB was tough yesterday with or without a boat. Everything I found was holding in 25' of water. I thought it was just me striking out but I talked to several and they all came up with a 0 for the day. It was still a great day to get the boat on the water. One of the fishermen I was talking to had caught a 9 pounder out of Nasworthy last week. Nice to hear it still produces.

Right now pay attention to your northern shorelines, it has the warmest water.
