I have been recently out in a Ranger 2300 Bay Ranger. This boat has a lot of room for 4-5 adults to fish, storage plus a large front and rear casting deck. http://www.rangerboats.com/modelGroup.cfm?gid=38#gid=38However, the price of this boat rigged is around $70K...However, my friend purchased his with less than 50 hours, for under $50K..If money was not the issue, I would stay with Ranger Boats!

I have had my DLX 2180 Carolina Skiff since 2002. It is not the fastest boat on the water and may be "rougher" the the V bottom boats. However, they are all rough in the waves. The ribs on the bottom even that out and I have had it in really big waves both in salt and fresh water and never worried a bit. I have run it over 4 inch flats with the jack plate up. It has a T top, poling platform, 27 gallon shad tank, bass chairs, you name it. Highly customizable. Everything to do with wiring and fuel is easy to get to and can be fixed on the water in most cases well enough to get in. I don't think I will ever need to own another boat. From flats fishing to hybrid fishing to running up rivers to ferrying kayaks to pulling kids on a tube, this is a great boat if you are not a speed demon. Others may do some things better, but overall, this is a boat that is very hard to beat. Basic, economical, dry, and controllable. Throws very little wake.
I know what you are thinking....and you're wrong!

The K2 black jack is a pretty awesome boat! Hard to beat in my book. Will run in just under a foot with a jack plate and still handle the bays when they are choppy while keeping you dry... I hate riding in wet boats when its cold out...

Skeeter builds several models that are suited to all types of inshore fishing. As far as a Bay Stealth, I would shy away if you found one for sale as the company(VIP) is out of business. Hard to get warranty work done from a bankrupt company.
