I'm spending some of my Christmas break near San Antonio and was thinking about trying Millers Park Pond on the SW side of town. Has anyone tried it? According to the schedule the next stocking should take place tomorrow.
Any information would be appreciated!
Thanks!

TPWD does stock Miller's Pond every year with trout and catfish...some good sized ones have been taken out! Just watch the breezes, not a lot of protection there.

I grew up around there and played and fished there long before it was a park. I dont know about the trout fishing but I will tell you that is not a good neighborhood.

i been fishing miller pond and done very well using a carolina ring with a 1/8 oz egg sinker, and a size 14 treble hook with yellow color trout powerbait. I been many times and the neighborhood seems fine to me. gone maybe five times now and haven't seen any problems. the pond get stock everytwo weeks so their is always fish to catch.

I've lived in Sky Harbor for 11 years now, they've enlarged the pond and have never had a problem there. The city enlarged the track so that it wraps around the pond, a lot of people walk it on a regualr basis. Most of the problems are in the next subdivision, Indian Creek....Mornings, afternoons and ealy evenings are not a problem at the pond at all. A lot of family oriented fun and kids learning to fish is all.....
