Well, I went Sunday and the weather was really nice. I spent most of my time just watching and walking the bank. Lots of fish (crappie, yellow bass) being caught on the first bend past Lawtherfurther upstream, the bite seemed to get slower and slower, but there were lots of shad. I saw many people catching on jig and bobber, but one guy on the inside bend was ripping into them with jigs fished close to or on the bottom. I believe he caught more than 100 fish Later that night, people were crowded on the bridges, trying to fish under the trash and debris, but the bite had shut off after sunset
I'm gonna miss her when I get home....

that's the problem too many shad. too much food!
The other problem is that a lot of these are the big gizzard shad, not the kind fish follow to eat. Many of these gizzard shad in WRC are the size of the crappie, some in the 10-12 inch range or bigger, and oh yes, the DO hit a jig!
