The fishing remains hot here on Falcon. And so does the temperature. Quality fish are being caught in most all areas of the lake. Long rocky and brush laden points are the ticket. You can start fishing them at the bank and fish them all the way out to the creek channels. Big worms, Carolina rigged Big Baits, Jigs and Crankbaits are all catching fish. A lot of the larger fish are being caught on Crankbaits.. Everything from Rattle Traps shallow to Hot Lipps Express in 20 plus feet of water. The Lemonade or Root Beer Hot Lipps are really working well..

The wind has been pretty bad the last three days, but this AM it is prety nice.

If you come down just hone in on the long rocky points.. Gravel is good!

See you on the Water!

James,

My wife and I were there this weekend and we saw a lot of fish caught, we did ok nothing great, biggest was probably 6 pounds; however, there were people cleaning fish like crazy. Folks that stayed next to us said they had just seen a 9 pound plus fish being filleted at the cleaning station.

I am sorry, I DON'T GET IT!!!! Sure I keep fish, most folks in our club do, those that don't make it and sometimes fish that are 14-17" 2-3 pounders on the last day to take home and give the larger fish a better opportunity to compete for the available food. But to catch and fillet a 9 pound fish straight out is sad............

Richard

Let's just hope they filleted it because it died on them and could not be released alive.???
(Probably wishful thinking, I know!)

Hey Fellers.. Let me tell you that nothing has changed.. Yesterday there were some 11's caught, and a bunch of 7's, 8's, and 9's... Same patterns are working.. From the Veleno to the dam.. Fishig the rocky points, from shallow to deep! Rainy weather has temps cooled off and the fishermen are enjoying the upper 80's..Water temps down to about 82 or three..

Come get em!
