For the past couple of weeks it has been Tawakoni! The blues and channels are hitting good right at the bank at Windy Point. I get to be with my grandson, which is a bonus!

Texoma is my next choice because I am so close....about 10 minutes and I'm fishing! Also, no matter how windy it is, I can always find a sheltered spot way up in a cove.

****Sun sinking low....lines baited.....gentle south breeze blowing...you realize.........I AM! .

Hands down Tawakoni...it's not called The Catfish Capital of Texas for nuthin! After that (for me anyway) it's Lavon and Texoma.

To me its the lake I happen to be on at the time. My favorite lake to fish is Caddo. I always catch a fair number of fish (not lots but acceptable) and its just fun to ride around an see such a cool lake. My home lake is Waxahachie and I fish it when I can. Not large fish but good numbers.

Favorite catfish lake for me is also my fav bass lake, Lake Fork. I've only went catfishing a few times there but have done ok for a catfish beginner i guess. Best cat i caught there was by accident when one bite my texas rig.

Lake Palastine. We have a lake house there and it is enjoyable to get out of the Metro mess for a weekend. No crowds and the catfishing is excellent!

I love Lewisville. There's nothing like catching a jetskiier on a jugline. bannana2

Actually, I always catch fish here and I can't say that about just any lake. Plus it's in my backyard!

I grew up in the Wichita Falls area, and spent many a day on Lake Kemp and Lake Diverson. Later on Lake Kickapoo. I have fished Phantom Hill at Abilene, Lake Stamford, Lake Brownwood, Lake Coleman, Hubbard Creek, Possum Kingdom, Lake Graham, Bridgeport, Lewisville, Levon, Texhoma, and I still think that Lake Arrowhead is one of the best catfish lakes there is. duel
