Allison where did you get those cranking numbers from? When I went to the Trojan website it listed the 27 agm having CA=780 and CCA=560. Not trying to be rude just want to know

I have had my share of optimas and wouldn't give 10 dollars for another one. I have trojan SCS 225's for my trolling motor and have no problems. They are heavy though.

I have never had Trojans...hear good things about them.
Have had three optimas in my boat for 4 years and they are still going strong.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

the trojans are industrial batteries( I know from experience ) and I guarentee they will outlast any optima, how many pallet jacks, sweeper/scrubbers and other industrial /commercial equipment do you know using optimas, absolutely none and if trojans can run these high use hard punishment items running a dinky 21 foot bass boat around a lake is no problem and also please go buy the optimas so I can pass you with my trojans.

The new optimas don't seem to be worth buying. Old ones were/are good, I have a red top from 99 in my jeep.
My new boat came with 3 sealed industrial batteries so I'll see how long they'll last. I usually just run the yellow walmart ones. I have no luck at all with regular "marine" batteries. Seem to be able to last about one more than the 12 month warranty.
Fishing is always good, its the catching that varies.
