Nice mess o fish today on Granger. Hard to believe but we actually caught a few on b/p's today, half males and half females. DB caught the biggun today on a minner, weighing in at 1lb/10, female. DB wanted to let her go but I threw her in the ice chest. Blame me for the slaughter.
I did manage to catch 3 or 4 keepers on a kooby jig/ pink, white, red combo. I lost the jig after you left DB, will have to make more of that combo fer sure.
I think I even have a pic of the mess!
Glad we were able to get together today DB, had a good time of it!

Had a good time. Enjoyed going along for the ride in your boat. Thanks for the trip. The thump was good and strong on the jigs today. See you on the lake. DB rolfmao

Nice job gents! Good to hear you had a nice day on the lake and caught fish on your custom jigs! I can't wait to try them out. You will give Wally World a run for their money! Any idea on the water temp? Thanks for sharing!

Nice catch guys. Hopefully going out tommorow if I don't have to work. I'd like to catch some more crappie. The white bass run is starting so I'll probably be after them during the day and fishing the pier for crappie at night.

Water temps are on the rise! Generally ranging from 52 to 53.
My guess is that we might see some in the shallows if we can get the surface temps up to 57 or so. With the weather forcast generally calling for warm weather this week, we might get there in a week or two. The females that we caught were pretty full of eggs. I am thinking a trip to the gravel pits is in order for the next two weekends to see if they are there.

Nice fish Fellas! I wish I had time to get out there. I haven't checked my Brush Piles since I put them out 10 days ago. It's killing me!

Don't worry Salty, I checked your new BP's and they are doing fine. No crappie on them yet.

Panko,

Gravel pit in question is on the south shore after the Taylor water intake just before you get to far into the mouth of the river. I believe Reggie's map has it on it but I don't recall. I have only been back there once a few years back for it's tricky to get back to it.

LOL.. thanks Sabot. The two piles I put out are just a drop in the bucket compared to the other 35 I have marked with GPS. HEHEHEHE. I figured I would just contribute all be it very little. :-D
