Has anyone had much luck at cc with the storm Wild Eye? Looks alot more realistic than sassy shads to me, but I'm not a fish! any info / feedback is appreciated.
2 Bedroom Lake house on CC for rent. P.M. me!

I don't know about CC, but I have been using Wildeyes on a few different lakes with good success. However, I have had good success with sassy shads, as well.

I know folks fish them at night (1/4 oz) under the docks with success.

I've had great success with these at Tawakoni. Only thing I don't like is the hooks - wish they were a little smaller in diameter. I've lost several fish and blame it on the hook. It's got to be either the fishes fault or the hook, it cant be me. ha
Also be sure you remove the plastic hook cover that comes on the lures - trust me it's very difficult to hook a fish with this on the hook. Ask me how I know this.

This is how I know - I just happened to be at the right place and time when a school of stripers surfaced at Tawakoni. Threw out the trusty swim shad while following the frenzy with my trolling motor. I kept getting huge hits but could not hook up - only took about 20 casts before I looked at the lure to see the plastic hook cover still in place.

I fished with a guy for 2 hours with him getting bites all the time, setting the hook like he was deep sea fishing, without landing a fish.I finally glanced at his lure before he recast and got a flash of light coming frm the hook. Next time he reeled it in I asked him to see the lure and sure enough, the plastic keeper was still on the bait. We laughed for 10 minutes.Another time a guy I was fishing with was using a small H&H spiiner bait............... yup, he never threaded the hooks onto it.

I've caught a few hybrids at CC on the wildeye---mostly on the small ones at night around the docks. If I'm fishing SUPER slow, I mean almost just crawling a bait just off the bottom, I think the wildeye works better than the sassy shad. For all other applications, I use the sassy shad or the slab.

I have never slabbed a striper or hybrid or used sassy shads.
Since we got the fever, alls we have used all summer is cranks and STorms, and they flat out work.
My personal favorite is the Pearl shad or straight white. With the Garlic markers, you can make any color you desire.
Summer, the white with blue marker on back was good ticket, other days the straight chartruese worked well.
For less than 3 dollars, you can't go wrong with 4-5 inch Wild eys.

They work extremely well and the baits have a great hook that will not bend if you get on a monster. Favorite is 4" pearl or bunker and but the smaller ones sink too slow so stay with 4-5" baits. Have had good sucsess also with 5" which look really big but not for a hybrid of 5+...........try deadsticking it under the boat when you see fish on the graph and hold on............FUN FUN FUN......now I am all worked up but stuck at work.......let me know how it goes and good luck!

They will catch fish, cause Ive seen "get the net" catch em with it. I just prefer the sassy bodies, cause it allows me to use heavier heads. 3/4 to 1oz. But I would say they are the best, ready to go, packaged baits.
