Is there anything to this? Sounds a bit like science fiction. https://thehill.com/policy/energy-e...r.com&utm_medium=thehill-cross-brand"drilling company Quaise — which uses high-powered radio waves to drill through hard rock..." "Sage will pump water into subterranean wells, creating zones of high pressure that utilities can tap as “batteries” when other energy supplies fall."

Isn’t geo thermal basically a big heat sink, which flows water so that it doesn’t take as much energy to heat or cool because the water down deep remains a constant temp?
I have it in my house.

But it just reduces energy needs, it doesn’t generate energy…

They could tap the energy on the super caldera under Yellowstone.
It will eventually erupt one day. Enough energy to kill everyone and everything in the US.
It might be a couple of hundred thousand years, give or take.

east of reno on I80 there are 2-3 geothermal turbine generator stations. I think they are tapped into steam.

Plenty of geothermal energy being generated in the volcanic fields of S. CA. Completely different geology than TX though.

Yeah we removed Morgan Creek #1 turbine and generator after a boiler explosion. It went to Lodi Ca. to be used in a Geo-Thermal experiment. That was 1981
