Agreed. That should be your first phone call. Second phone call should go to either the police or the sheriff depending on where you live. Then load a 12 gauge and keep it handy and hope you don't have to use it.

Yea, my only thought is there is no responsibility on your daughter's part to share custody of the kids if you feel they are in danger.

I would definitely want something on record with the authorities - police and child protective services. You need to establish he is a threat and somehow limit your exposure to him. Hopefully, your daughter is on your side as well - that will make it much easier on everybody.

I don't want to go dark, but my wife has personal experience with something similar on her side of the family and it didn't turn out well.

We've been bumping on that mentality. He really isn't paying his share. We've been trying to support his right to see the kids but...too much drama and not supporting them financially. Kind of hoping to break ties. He's just a jerk.

I've got two cute daughters. They are both capable of taking care of themselves right up to the point they can't. When that happened, dad stepped in and the offending party understood in a very short amount of time, their continued presence was not a long term positive decision.

In no uncertain terms, they know that when it came to the girls happiness, there were no boundaries when it came to eliminating their particular source of pain and suffering. Move along, or be moved, your choice.

^^^ If you haven't done this yet what is the hold up? This is the path it will end up on anyway. You beating the snot out of him is just going to complicate the situation for your daughter and it's going to end up with the authorities handling it anyway. Make it an easy case for them.
