Is chamber pretty easy to run for bass fishing? I know there aren't boat lanes but figured I'd ask if there safe areas to run or a safe depth I should stop and idle when I see that depth? I hope that makes sense.

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

It is not, If you don't know the lake stick to the bottom end around the dam and even then be cautious of shallow spots on your left as you run towards the dam

Yes keep it on safety once you put a round in the chamber.

Absolutely. I go there a lot, and the pucker factor is real.

The only non "Pucker" area [Linked Image] that I know of is from the 2859 bridge to the 287 bridge . The lake is up but there are plenty of submerged tree tops on both sides of the island. From 287 SE toward the dam is pretty safe when the lake is up [Linked Image] The Richland Arm has the Blk Forest from South of the Peninsula to I-45 & the Chambers arm has a whole lot of pecan orchards from NW of the 2859 bridge towards St hwy 31.

I purchased his guidelanes abut 3 weeks ago for Palestine and 100% satisfied with it. I ran all over the lake and hit no stumps. Helped me find Crappie structure.
Palestine is one of the worst stump ridden lakes.
I just downloaded the file and uploaded in my Carbon 12.
$60 worth the money

You could look at the historical photos on Google Earth, focused on low water dates, and view the areas you want to run. You'll be able to see the hazards.

As stated, NO that lake is not an easy safe run lake. Lots of timber. Get a lane chip.
