When I see a stranger open a door for someone, or help someone get an item off the top shelf at the grocery store, or stop roadside to help change a flat tire, or just smile and carry on if cut off in traffic; joy enters my heart.

Little kids make me smile. I used to be less thrilled by little kids, but I’ve completely changed as I’ve aged. My neighbor was babysitting his grandkids today. They are quite small, with the boy being about 4 and the girl about 3. The little girl is a heart stealer, and I was grinning the whole time I was over there. We discussed caterpillars and spiders and rhinoceroses. A shame my grandkids are all grown, now that I’ve decided I like kids.
But NO, I do not want to babysit any of your kids or grandkids. That would likely not make me smile.
