To the guys running both, is the 360 worth it with livescope. Considering adding 360 to my set up and wondering where y’all find yourself using the 360 over the livescope.

I have and use both. My reason…..360 draws an excellent picture of everything around you. If there is a rock or lay down or other piece of structure or cover in the vicinity of your boat you will see it without having to pint your transducer at it. Sometimes you will see fish as well. On multiple occasions I have looked down and seen something I have caught fish from on the other side of the boat from where I am casting that I would have never seen without it. I use it to draw me a visual map of what is there and then I can point my Livescope at the targets around me to see if there is anything swimming around. They work well together for that. With that said, If you like to fish at breakneck speed 360 may not be as useful in that type of situation. You can set the transducer speed to get new data faster but you will lose detail in those situations.

I added 360 about a month ago. Only had it out 3 or 4 times so far and am still on the fence about it. I've had livescope for 3 years now so I guess I'm just used to it and need to force myself to utilize the 360 more. I'll either learn to love it or sell it.

I’ve had both, would upgrade to a large screen for my livescope depending on what you have.

I have both, and in open water it is a very useful tool. With the newer LVS34 in perspective mode, you could get by if you have a mount that you can adjust. If your shallow it will be a different angle, versus if your fishing deep. But the 360 is an extremely helpful tool pinpointing structure, and with the 360 makes every cast count.

After I switched from.LVS32 to LVS34 abd started using perspective mode more I pulled the M360 pod off my boat. I have a quick release mount and can put it back on easily but so far I am happy with perspective.

I love my 360. I can find structure very fast with it. When I find that structure I then turn my Live Scope toward it to see if any bass are around it.
I can find schools of fish also with my 360. To me both have their uses but combine both of them you have a great matchup.

I will tell you, bluegill beds show up really well on 360, better than running with side-scan through an area. Then once you find them, using live sonar to pinpoint where the bass are in relation can be a deadly combo. There are other structures and cover types that 360 excels at, this just happens to be my favorite! 360 will also show how the bait is setup on rock piles, or other hard bottom (think shell) areas. I just have to get better at using and trusting it, rather than just fishing through an area, regardless. I also only have one unit up front, so I switch back and forth lately.

That quick release deal is smart to have. We don't have 1 but going super shallow doesn't work well with the 360.

When I use my 360 it's fpr prefishing. I don't like interference.

When I am not fishing I am thinking about fishing. And mostly what I should have done differently my last trip!

I have both ... here's my take ...

- Side Imaging - gets you to the right neighborhood
- 360 tells me what house
- Live Scope tells me if anyone is home

The MEGA 360 works great as long as it is above the bottom--same for Humminbird's Side Imaging. This screen shot was taken with the trolling motor sitting on the bottom as a shallow water anchor (no depth readout). I was watching for bass spawning at logs and stumps. Some of the logs were blocking the sonar pulses some so it is darker at the more forward areas: [Linked Image]
