Why does he still have that color ? Normal this time of year they have more of the copper color . And when it’s colder out they are that dull leaves on the ground color

Copperheads do not change colors with the season. They do come in different colors patterns and this one just happens to be a grey color.

Definitely a copperhead. Juveniles will retain their green tail to maturity. That one was healthy.
