I’ll go first.

We have two standard Dachshunds. 5 year old male and 3 1/2 month old pup wife had to have. So I’m on dog poop pick duty up all the time. Our yard is mainly swimming pool so every day or two I get my pooper scooper out, a Walmart sack and pick up dog poop. I throw the bags in wife’s planter box on side of the house till trash day, Tuesday and Friday. Wife never plants anything so she doesn’t know what I’m using her planter box for.

I took the trash out the other day. I had an empty plastic bucket with lid that swimming pool chlorine tabs come in. I threw several dog poop sacks in the bucket and put the lid on it and took it out with the trash. Went to the garage to grab my garage trash. Somebody had already snatched that bucket full of dog poop up within a couple of minuets.

Recycle people only come Friday, it was Tuesday. I figured the trash people would pick it up. I guess somebody needed a car wash bucket. I would have rather the trash people picked it up, but all I can do is laugh!

Had a bobcat walk thru our front flower bed a couple night ago.

I got a cricket running around my house somewhere. Little bastage is noisy and driving me nucking futs. Can’t find it anywhere. My beagle hound is absolutely no help.

I’d have to leave till that dang cricket died of old age. With my luck a bunch more would come to his funeral!

Wife tells me "our" roadrunner knocks on the back door around lunchtime most days. Thought she was pulling my chain until Saturday. D*** bird pounds the bejesus out of the storm door then walks off.

Had a dove fly into our sliding glass door. Wasn't home when it happened, but it left a feather dust impression on the glass. You can clearly make out the detailed shape of the bird. Individual feathers, wings, head, eye, beak... all are clearly visible. And you can 100% tell it was a dove.

Must have been okay though, because there are no feathers or dead bird on the patio.

No no.

2 squirrels in backyard today. Almost pulled out the S&W 8-1/2" 22 LR.

Lithium batteries on front porch 3 hours late but since it was FedEx and not USPS it was hours late not days.

baby bird leaves the nest early, glides into the backyard...mom and dad bird start dive bombing us and the dogs...we go inside so they can figure it out...we take the dogs out on leashes the rest of the night to keep the dogs away from the area... morning comes, wife scans the yard, all is well, we let the dogs out...they start sniff'n like they do to find the right spot to wiz like normal... we see the one jump in surprise then grab something and come trotting back to us, yup the baby bird, so I go after her to get her to drop it...not wanting to lose her "prize" she found, she swallows it... LOL. I thought the wife was gunna faint... thankfully next morning's dootz had a piece of beak visible... crazy !

Had a Easter Fish Fry a few weeks ago for 45 people, 4 year old niece asked if she could go inside to use the bathroom. Wife let her in and pointed her to the bathroom and about 5 minutes later someone else goes in the house and finds her and she's inside the house crying because she's lost and couldn't figure out how to get out of the house. Our house is only a 3 bedroom house.

As the great Joe Walsh once said, “It’s hard to leave when you can’t find the door.”

I can't hear high pitched noises - including crickets. My wife really gets mad at me when i can't help her apprehend a cricket in the house.

That happened to me once and it turned out to be the smoke detector.

Been feeding a cottontail ( thought I was feeding stray cats ) on the front porch . The other night I heard a commotion . Rabbit screamed and what sounded like a freakin' wolverine was having a fit . Next morning I found two tufts of white fur but I just saw the rabbit . Thinkin' maybe a possum or coon . Guess anything else would've eaten the rabbit ?

My dog came home with an adult cottontail a couple of days ago but ate only half of it. He came home last week with a small cottontail he ate all of it.
