General Motors built a factory in Osaka in 1927 where Knock-down kits of Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Buick vehicles were shipped from the United States and assembled locally. In 1936 the newly formed Toyoda Corporation (later renamed Toyota), modified the design of the Chevrolet Deluxe and from that created the Toyoda AA. It was the first Toyota model ever produced.

ever seen a Chevrolet bus?.....here's a 1989 model that Ron Speeds's fish camp on El Salto lake in Mexico uses to transport fishermen from lodge about 1/2 mile to where boats are parked....

I think the LUV was mostly Isuzu.

It’s where the original GMC blowers came from that hotrodders were using to mount on top of custom intakes back in the day. Those busses used 454 chevys with a 6.7:1 (or just 671) supercharger to make huge torque.

To this day, you can still buy “GMC” style superchargers.
