It’s nothing for me to put something up so I can find it and have to go buy another cause I can’t kind it.
But sometimes things just seem to to disappear. We had one recently, dog harness for wife’s new puppy sprouted legs and walked off. Few weeks back wife got a new Dachshund puppy. We had some left over harnesses from when our 5 yr old Dachshund was a puppy. One was small enough it fit the new pup.
Couple weeks back we a few drinks, cooked steaks etc. Come bed time wife takes the harness off the pup puts him in his cage and we go to bed. Next morning no harness, she thought she laid it on the nightstand. We looked everywhere. Wife’s says did you throw it in the trash and take it to the curb. Nope took the trash to the curb before you took the harness off. Pretty sure never we left the room after she took the harness off. We’ve looked under the bed, behind dressers you name it, even moved furniture.
Luckily I had bought another from Amazon she didn’t like, was going to send back. When it’s all ya got you like it. We’ve looked off and on for two weeks. I bet someday it turns up.
Anybody else have something spout legs and walk off.
Thanks, Billy

Yeah. I misplaced my boat keys years ago...I looked for MONTHS for the dang things! Turns out they somehow ended up in the back floorboard of my car and I had placed a power steering pump on top of them and didn't realize it.
Another time I was about 8 and had a really nice Timex watch (it was nice to a little kid) that my parents had given me for a birthday present. I couldn't find it one day. About 2 years later I found it in the crevice of an a chair I used to recline/laydown on when I was tired. Only reason I found it was Mom had decided to buy new furniture and told us kids to take off the cushions of the furniture and see if there was anything stuck in there. We found money and stuff, but that watch was the best thing I found. I think I still have it.

I’d guess 3-4 years back I lost my truck keys. Were in my pocket next thing gone. Wife said where’s your spare set, either at a the lake place in Rayburn or in my truck. I called around found a locksmith to come out unlock my truck and make a key. He said come to the shop in the morning and I’ll program you a new fob. So 160 bucks later I have a key.
Later that night I take my dirty clothes to the laundry room and when I throw them in the basket I see my truck keys hanging on the side of the clothes basket. When I carried the clothes basket to the Landry room the fob hung on the basket and pulled them out of my pocket. I now have three sets of keys for that truck.
Thanks, Billy

the doorways in my house have turned into mind erasers. I can walk from one room to another and forget why I went in there.

I lost a pair of air pods and looked for them in every vehicle we own, my boat, shop, house here, house in Louisiana and at the farm and nothing, vanished into thin air.
2 years later my wife says look what I found, They were in a spot in her SUV between the buckets seats and the console and had hung on a little piece coming off the seat. You could not see them and I could never get my had in there, she thought she had dropped one of her diamond earnings in between the seat and console and she could reach down there and came up the air pods. The earring was left in La.

I have been fortunate and keep good track of stuff but lost a bucklite knife in my teens that still bothers me. Loved that knife!
