There is one pretty crude ramp open. It's in the middle between the new ramp being built and the park ramp.

Thought they had that ramp closed too. Why don’t they open ramp on upper end ?

The west ramp had a sign on the barricade saying "closed due to low water" for a long time after the lake reached full pool. Went by there last week and now the sign says "closed- call the parks department for more info"

I haven't called, but I'm curious as to why they have the only safe ramp blocked off. The middle ramp is pretty rough, and if the ground is wet you'll get gray mud all over your boat and truck.

The upper ramp is going to be for kayak only. The new ramps are almost finished. The middle ramp has had a grater run on it to smooth the entrance a little. But it takes only one or two boats dripping on the stuff to make it REALLY MESSY. The middle ramp (muddy ramp) is actually by far the BEST ramp. Perfect slope and length. Very easy to launch load. If the ramps busy, just back down on either side. The rocks are ok too.

I heard the park ramp got destroyed by a couple of pontoon boats trying to launch before the lake came up. Supposedly they caved in half of the concrete on the ramp and it’s unsafe to use until the lake comes down and they can fix it

That west ramp is not destroyed I went when it was almost 7 ft low ramp is good .
About 6 ft from end of ramp is broken but even 3 or 4 ft low you would never back in even close to the damaged part.
How long is that middle ramp?

I was there week before last and talked to a guy launching as I had never fished the lake. That middle ramp is fine but it is shallow and flat so expect to get wet to launch solo.

It isn’t shallow and flat. It’s good when the lake is 8 ft low. I’ve used it this past summer. It’s not “as good” at full pool.

I meant the grade was shallow and flat. There is plenty of water depth there for sure. I did not explain that well.
