Ok folks, I've had a Sthil gass weed eater for 25 years, but its come time to move to battery operated. Its just to much for this old mn any more. We have a huge yard, nearly 20,00p sq feet. Give me some suggestions under $300 if possible and able to use for 30 minutes to an hour on one charge. At least .80 line size

I plan to buy an EGO weedeater next year bought the EGO blower, battery, and charger on a bundle said on Black Friday from Amazon for a very low price I think like $160. Eventually I will buy the EGO mower as well but as long as the Honda is running good will hold off.

I had a Sthil gas weed eater as well. I went with Milwaukee. They have several attachments for that platform as well.

I've had an Ego mower, weed eater and blower for about a year now. Haven't had a problem with any of them.

I have a DeWalt, but I don't think it could run a full hour on a charge.

I bought a Milwaukee battery weed eater with pole saw attachment with an extension. Great tool.

Buy an extra battery and charge while using the first one.

I have and use regularly a ryobi 18v one+ pole saw as well as a few other ryobi tools. for the money you can't beat them, batteries can be had 2 4ah for 79.00 with a charger and last a good while under heavy use.
I got them for throwaway tools, cheap so use em till they break and I am not easy on stuff out here. I have been pleased with performance to cost. '
they have a multi tool head too.

skip the line and put one of these on, buy a couple of packs of blades. super fast/easy to replace when one breaks, simple push/pull. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Rino-Tu...Grass-Trimmer-Lawn-Edger-16234/100671846mine is on a stihl gas that I use a lot. the blades last a long time in just grass, trees, posts etc. will shorten life expectancy.

I love the smell of a two-stroke edger/blower on a Saturday morning! When you get the dang thing to start and stay started. I have thrown way too many two stroke blowers/weed eaters across the yard after they either failed to start or started, died and then failed to restart. Always happens when it is like 105 out too. I now have battery blower and weed-eater for my ~1/4 acre lot. Not one issue with them starting or stay running.
