whatever happened to the family down by athens that had a compound. I don't know if they qualified as soverign citizens or not but the patriarch and others who were arrestable did not leave the compound.
It seems like Chuck Norris went down there to try and help mediate. I think the sherrif had the good sense to just leave them alone. Ruby Ridge and Waco were still fresh on peoples minds.

It seems like Chuck Norris went down there to try and help mediate. I think the sherrif had the good sense to just leave them alone. Ruby Ridge and Waco were still fresh on peoples minds.
As far as I know, they're still holding out on that piece of land they have. I just tried looking them up real quick. I can't remember their name or where they're out down there, so my searches were coming up empty. I don't think that "standoff" has ever been resolved, though. To my knowledge, if the old dude is still alive, he'll get arrested if he leaves.

I think they were the sons of Texas or something like that . Dude burned the Quran talked crazy about the government and supposedly has the actual deed to Texas in his possession if it’s the same people I’m thinking of
