Anyone else's fishing partner tries to steal their fish after you miss a hookset?

I can't be the only one... as soon as I make a noise like I miss a fish....Grumpy Ol Vet's lure makes a bee-line for the spot I just missed..and he often catches it! Anyone else have a fishing partner like that??? https://www.instagram.com/p/C4R988wOibB/

If I miss one and my partner DOESN'T throw in there - I'm pissed. I just want someone in the boat to catch it.

I had a partner who would throw to wherever I did, seemed like every time, but maybe not. One time on Decker Lake, I threw at a clump of grass near the dam. His lure hit the water milliseconds after mine. we both set the hook and started reeling in the "catch". as the bass got near the boat, we saw both lines in the fish's mouth. A once in a lifetime thing for me, the daggum fish had hit both lures and we both caught it.

I got a wife that is faster on the draw. My wife doesn’t do that but she can drag a Texas rigged worm behind the boat and just totally humiliate me to the tune of like three to five fish to my one. She won’t even make cast, I have to do that for her.
