I’m in town for a few days with my young sons and wife. Just curious if anyone fishes white bass runs on any of the creeks feeding cedar creek lake? If so, where and how’s it going? Any advice would be appreciated. My sons are really hoping to catch a few whites.

Thanks and Gig’Em!

If you have a flatt bottom boat the best option would be to go up Kings Creek at the north end of Cedar Creek and work the deep holes throughout the creek. You could also book a day with a guide service and they can certainly get you on some action in the main lake.

If the lake is at pool I bet there’s plenty of sandbass, yellows, and maybe even a few hybrids up in the creeks. Just get out Google maps and look for anything that feeds in to the lake, it doesn’t take much, any little creek with some flowing water will have fish. I suspect the issue you are going to run in to is that most of the stuff on that lake is private access only. There’s very little bank fishing unless you know someone with a boat dock.
