Just curious how many have tried it and if you believe you get more bites with it.

I use it all the time, not because I think I get more bites but I fish very light gear and the 2 lb line lets me get more distance on casts.

I use 2 pound to catch line and tippet records. Most fish will break off when you use it. I donโ€™t think it will help get more bites compared to 4 and 6 pound. Any fish you catch on 2 pound is an accomplishment. I have a friend that really enjoys catch stocker trout with it. It is really hard for me to see it when tying knots. I have worked for years trying to catch a fish over 20 pounds with it. Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Awesome guys! I currently use 4-6 lb. I got 4 spots of 2lb trilene xl for $1 each. I enjoy throwing a 1" gulp minnow on a 1/64th ounce jig head alot. Thought I might get more distance with 2lb. I mean it will handle 2lb crappies ok I think????

I use 4 to 6 lb test line on my spinning reels. I have used 2 lb before but prefer the 4 lb. I use 4 lb most of the time.

I recently caught this record and it took several minutes to get it in on 2-pound tippet.

I use it on my micro light setups. A lot people swear that it catches bigger gills. I haven't been that lucky yet but I'm hoping that changes this year roflmao

6# test braid = 2# test mono or f/c. Rarely snaps even when the big one fight.
Smaller diameter allows better lure action IMO especially needed with do-nothing and finesse presentations.
It casts light lures a nice distance and I can feel light strikes better as well as getting better hook sets.

I am using 6 pound . At one point years ago I was using 4 pound. For me 6 lb is easier to work with. thumb

I'll be on a recon mission this weekend to explore a new section of the San Gabriel river in Georgetown. I think this city is a hidden gem for fishermen targeting sunfish. You really need waders to get to the best spots because there's very little to no bank access. The San Gabriel is full of redbreast sunfish.

I will be using one of my micro-light setups with 2lb mono, a slip float, tiny split shot, #6 eagle claw hook, and a box of night crawlers. I don't know if the water temp is quite there yet for river sunnies but I'm hoping for a bite or two. I'll post any catches here.

That's the plan! I hope I have something to report. The water temps are still low.
