If you don’t mind the commute don’t turn your nose up at Lockhart. Nice little town that’s still a little more reasonable.

Lived there in the 60'-80's............great city. Wouldn't visit today.

What’s your budget….

The 290/71 area west is under construction but should be nice once it’s done. It’ll open up the Dripping Springs area. Lakeway, Beecaves, Barton Creek and 360 area from Lost Creek/West Lake is where I’d live. East Austin is trash. I hate Cedar Park/Round Rock.

I drove down to Cedar Park a couple of weeks ago to pick up a truck. It seemed like a nice area.

traffic should be better in about 10 years when they redo I35

Might want to check out the Hutto, TX. area. N. Georgetown's pretty nice and convenient as well.

Temple/Belton is a much less expensive area to live and 30-45 minute drive (depending on time of day) to Austin on I-35.
