I have an established St Augustine lawn and am thinking of trying this out to eliminate some unwanted weds that are more prevalent in an area of the yard this year. I have never tried it and am wondering if anyone has and what their results were. TIA.

It will work. It has a very limited amount of weeds controlled on the label. Something like Ortho Weed B Gone for St Aug would be a better choice. You've got to be real careful on what herbicides you use this time of year coming out of dormancy. Label will specifically state it if not to use now. Nothing on the Ortho label that states not to use it now.

That was a quick one I googled and scanned the label real quick There are other products. I would check the box store or Atwoods and see what products they have that the front label advertisement says St Aug weed killer or whatever. I'd take a pic of the products and go home and google it and read the label. Granted most box store and hose end products have been dumbed down enough that most likely it's not going to do any turf damage and it might take you a couple apps. On the flip side on like Bermuda people see Image front advertisement that it kills poa so they apply it without reading the label. It can really hurt bermuda coming out dormancy, but it's a great summer product for muda. Weeds ain't going anywhere so do a little research first and pick what you think is best as far as ready to spray products go.

Pre emergent for broadleafs isn't cheap and I get not putting it in the budget. And broads aren't an issue besides spurge once we get through spring.
