Shady Oaks Burger Barn, just south of Athens on 59, is consistently the best burger I've had.

Whataburger patty melt is an above average patty melt, but a good patty melt is better than all cheeseburgers. There Patty Melt is solid , so is there Breakfast Burger .

Whataburger patty melt is an above average patty melt, but a good patty melt is better than all cheeseburgers. I like a good patty melt as much as the next guy but there is no beating a traditional all-amercian bacon cheeseburger with all the fixins...and a side of onion rings.

It’s the hamburger bun I don’t like. Texas toast or rye bread patty melt is more enjoyable for me. Then the grilled onions mixed in with the juicy patty with melted cheese. Delicious.
I just don’t prefer the soft airy sweetness of hamburger and hot dog buns…they lack substance. Thick crunchy buttery Texas toast or herbal crunchy toasted rye bread are tastier.
