I'm sitting here at two in the morning because I've been using that skin damage cream that makes a face look and feel like fire. I can't sleep. Do any of you have similar stories? I must have damaged the hell out of my face over the years.

if it works, use it. my skin damage now involves dermatologists and surgery 4-6 times a yr. to cut out the cancers. but, I looked damn good with that tan in the 80s.

Use it , skin cancer is no joke. I let a spot on my noise go to far and had to get it cut out. One of the moist painffull surgereys I have ever had since the dermatologist told me you have mre nerves in you noise that anywere.

I fished for decades with no shirt, no sunscreen and I am doing fine.
You can go to a dermo and they can put some kind of chemical on your face and arms and then shine a bright light for 10 minutes that will get rid of all or most any skin cancers that could arise in the future

Years ago there was no such thing as sun screen. As soon as there was, I started using it - liberally. We fished all day long, nearly all year, nearly every weekend, for years.
No issues yet, I’m 68 and I still fish.

I can think of another area with more (if not genitally mutilated at birth/uncircumcised)

I have spent a few hrs. under the "light", still have surgeries. it may work on the pre cancerous, mine are already well established.

I go to the dermatologist once a year for a head to toe inspection. they always freeze something off. had one small basil cell removed from my nose a few years ago. I've burned so many times in my lifetime it's a wonder I'm still kicking.

Last time at the dermatologist I had 9 spots he used liquid nitrogen to freeze but nothing serious. I have had the blue light treatment once not comfortable hoping I don’t have to repeat that one. Too many sunburns thru the years before sunscreen was invented. Another factor is a med I take makes you more sun sun sensitive so I try and stay out of the sun as much as possible mid day and use sun screen if I know I will be in in more than a short period plus wear a wide brim Shelta hat.

I must have damaged the hell out of my face over the years. I just finished the Flourouracil treatment. Started Jan. 1. Applied for two weeks. then started the healing process. My toughest time, was the week after I stopped application. Scabs and peeling, itching, and stinging. After that week it was pretty much over. You will survive.

Well, that face mostly. ;/) Going in tomorrow, have some 'more' spots that need attending, Every three months for me. One was Melanoma, two years back, keep on 'em. Here's my average look, even mid summer.

I used the cream earlier this year... Had a couple of spots feel like I was using sandpaper on the face. Know I'm healed up and ready to go back and have the Doc recheck me... Dan
