Dang Chris, i am jealous of those great fish and the lifestyle of a guide. cheers
I picked my boat up at Garry's Saturday and saw your 2nd boat. I did fished the afternoon mostly East and no birds and no luck. I was so happy that Garry called that i packed up everything EXCEPT my solix graph so had to fish using instinct and memory and didn't even get a bite. But boat ran GOOD and i am back in business woot

Oh and congrats on your 30 yr at Stripper Express surprise party on Saturday Friday. Lol.

Good to hear a good report. I plan on sneaking out there Friday to see if I can find them myself.

Small fish trip…still had fun caught and LEARNED. I am always still learning about fish and behavior it never stops.
First day we fished riprap in a ship canal and caught small reds catfish black drum gasper goo black Bess specs. Left it to find bigger fish never caught another one. I’ve been guiding as profession for 30 years of course I broke the sacred rule never leave biting Fish to go find biting fish but you know how the brain works if they’re this good here think with the big ones are doing over there smile
Suffering with low tide and the marsh was hard to navigate. Got stuck a lot on day 2. Fished 10.5 hours for 4 reds
Day 3 we decided to launch the boat and go back to first spot and caught specs black bass and a few real striper. You will see an occasional hybrid here and there what is the first time I’ve ever seen real striper. Here’s a couple pics

Very nice brackish fishies. I am surprised not more stripers or hybrids are being caught there. Texoma, Cooper, and Bous D Arc feed into the Mississippi River. Pretty long river systems

Yes Lake Pontchartrain
Well Todd after those big floods of 2014 the Gulf of Mexico striper record was broke multiple times
Think about it brazos…red…trinity to name a quick 3 rivers that have stripes and dump into gulf
Lots of competition in that salty water is why I’m sure we don’t see more of them down there
