Going to take a couple days off in late March. Trying to decide between Palestine and Athens? Only fished Palestine once And Athens a couple times. Last time I was at Athens it was really crowded.
I will go during the week.

Either should be good. Palestine has more options for staying near the lake. Athens may be crowded but they
did add another parking area which really helped.

Pretty much any lake in Texas if you are fishing mid week. I've fished Palestine and had a descent day fishing shallow. I was told that is pretty much a year round deal.

Palestine was a stingy old thing this past weekend. Had 4 bites and 3 fish on Friday. No bites on Saturday. I still love that lake though and can't wait to get back to it soon.
