I was catfishing up the river to the big bend on Thursday and saw a few boats out. Most were moving from spot to spot pretty quickly so I dont think any of them caught much. I plan to go back this week further down the lake and fish for both striper and cats so I'll post my findings.

We fished yesterday morning from sunrise to around 10:30 around Cedron and North of the bridge.
Didn't find any large schools, and caught no fish, that North Wind made for a cold morning, so we bagged it with zero bites.
Will probably try again in a month.

We fished 2 days ago between 11-3. Launched at McCown and only caught 4 striper. Saw some bird action in the cove of Cedron park that didn't last long. Had some hit with swim bait but not hook. There was another boat caught 2 next to use trolling swimbait and that's it. Then head toward cedron creek and saw few more birds chasing bait. Caught our 4 fish there trolling in the area wtih swimbait and that's it. Headed toward the Towash creek and marked fish but no takers. Then packed in and headed home.

My last 2 trips I have marked a lot of fish, but they have not been biting. I think the water hasn't cooled off enough yet. I've consistently seen 56 degrees.

Fish relating to trees are normally active fish if jigs are passed close . We fish PK which is a river lake and has a ton of trees. We get bit when we see a screen such as the one above by turning right or left therefore eliciting a strike.

Water temp the afternoon of 12/26 was 54. I think deadsticking will start to turn on more consistently now.

Finally able to get out this winter. Water temps were from 48-52. Found em at every spot we stopped. The usual winter pattern, find the river channel or creek channel feeding off the main river channel and find the fish. More agressive stripers were on the edge of the river channel in shallower water or hugging the bottom in the main river channel. Water was muddy but the stripers didnt seem to care for the most part. Couldnt get a hit on anything other than pink

44 Diesel, your graph shots are insanely good! Thanks for sharing. Never fished Whitney and it's in my bucket list for the past 3 years.

Come on down, the quality hasn't bounced back from it what it used to but the numbers are the best ever
