Yes, I just ordered some weighted bobbers by THK fishing, they are soft neoprene.. 2.5 inch and 1 inch sizes..
unless you use braided or heavy line stay away from the spring type bobbers).. they tend to cut the line, at the worst possible time, like when you have a fish on.. I took all of the springs off of my bobbers that had them, then drilled a tiny hole in the stems, so I can use them as slip corks.. losing one fish, is one too many...
the weighted bobbers have thier use, like if you want to cast farther, but keep your jig light.,. also a weighted bobber doesnt get moved across the water as fast in the wind, allowing more time in the strike zone.. in spring I will switch to a tiny neoprene unweighted fly float in bright red for a super stealthy presentation , just large enough to support a 1/64th oz jighead, on which I put a small plastic frog..
I would recommend get a good variety of styles and sizes..

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Yep. It's always fun. This time of year, if the fish happen to be pulled tight to a piece of hangy cover and aren't willing to expend much energy, vertical jigging can be the better option though

I prefer a peg bobber. If I have to get my bait any deeper than a few feet under a bobber Iā€™d rather fish horizontally.

I have slip bobbers in all different sizes. I try and use as small as a bobber I can get away with. If I need a small weighted slip bobber I take a 1/32 bullet weight and insert it into the bottom hole of slip bobber. 1/32 bullet weights are hard to find but well worth the effort if you use small slip bobbers.
