Has anyone installed shocks on an older boat trailer and were they helpful?

I have a single axle. I put heavier rated leaf spring and use D rated tires made a big difference

I have a tandem axle boat trailer that i am thinking of adding shocks.

I never added them but my last 3 trailers have had them and i would never go without them again.

I don’t think it would be worthwhile to add shocks to a well outfitted and maintained trailer
