He said it wasn’t JBT in one of his Facebook replies yesterday. I know a lot of guys are pounding it but the video with the kid the water was dirty but didn’t seem as dirty as JBT and had some stick ups. Seems at JBT all they have been doing was fish the dam and that video didn’t look like the dam?

You can see the lake, not Ivie, here. Chris Zaldain goes out to the same lake along with JJ. Z gets a couple of bites, JJ comes back with 3 bigs.

Not a Zaldain fan but that was a really good instructional video.  Oh and glad I have Garmin.

Definitely a good lesson for what so many of us get trapped into doing. Constantly throwing what we think they should bite and not trying what they might actually bite.

I agree. Kept waiting for him to switch baits? That’s what you get for throwing a knockoff?

I enjoyed the story of two guys that paid $2000 to fish with JJ. He was way late to meeting them then they sat there while he ate breakfast. Then they finally got on the water and they had to share 1 rod. Fished 2 hours and had to go in for lunch. Then went back for a couple of more hours. They combined 1 14” for $2000 😂 The one time I was at Ivie, I saw JJ launched before daylight, came back for lunch and went back out until after 10pm. His next day clients stayed two doors down from us and while chatting with them, JJ called to let them know to meet them next morning before daylight. JJ also told them he was currently trying to have his client catch a third DD that day, that was at 930pm. So, I have hard time believing he would put in a half effort as you describe after what I saw was a dang good work ethic.

That’s one of my customers and his son that Josh posted the pics of. They said you literally had to hit them on the head or they wouldn’t bite. Thats the difference of others going to JBT and striking out like Chris did and many others lately. He’s not been to Ivie much with lower water and warmer temps. It could change next week and fishing be fire again.
