was wondering if folks fishing deep cover and structure with livescope,( 25 to 45 feet) , switch the position of your transducer to get a better cone angle or do you leave it in one position year around?

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I have used forward position with the transducer being perfectly level or 1 notch up if I want to see my bait enter the water further out.

I always leave it forward. I have learned to zoom to the fish in deep water. Fishing 60 FOW but the crappie were in tree tops at 35-40 feet down. I adjust so my screen bottom is at 40-45 feet deep. I don't care what is below the fish so I find zooming in on fish helps me a ton in deep water settings. In 35 feet or less then I try to maximize what I see on the screen out to about as far as I can pitch. That has been what has worked best for me, others will differ.

I only ever fish it in forward mode at the same angle year round. You get accustomed to the position and know exactly what you're seeing every time with the lures/fish.

I keep saying I'm going to try perspective mode in a more serious manner in the spring, but I just get such good results with forward that it's hard to try anything else.
