Don’t want this to sound rude, I’m glad to hear of the horrible fishing too, because that is exactly how it has been for me! Marking lots of fish but they just flat out won’t touch an artificial bait. Thanks for being honest Chris, a bad report helps just as much as a good one.

Heading out there tomorrow myself. Trying to figure these fish out! If anyone has a report from today that might help get this stink off my boat, it would be very appreciated!

A 4" chartruse gulp alive minnow on a 1/4 oz jig has awaken hybrids for me on Belton when the bite is tough. I know that Cedar Creek guides use it for hybrids on that lake. If you find groups of fish suspended, you should put the bait right in the middle of them and use a slow up and down jigging action on it. Dead sticking one of these will cause the fish to swallow it and make it hard for us catch and release guys to set them free unharmed. Tight lines.

I looked on line and got mine on E-bay. They worked so well for me that I bought a 3 year supply. They are worth the price. The other colors don't last as well as the chartruse. If you hang one of these 4" off the bottom in a rod holder you will catch all of the catfish in the area including the big ones.

I guess that's why Berkley doesn't make them anymore, they last to long.

It was slow on the west side of Texoma yesterday for me. A few birds working. We found fish but not a lot of hungry ones. Still managed to catch about 25 box fish and 2 overs among 5 people. We therew back about 12. All deadsticking.

Thanks for the report kkc. I fished yesterday as well from the main lake, all the way up the Washita. Found birds working first thing in the morning on the main lake, but it was short lived with no fish caught, might have got there a little late. Dead sticked the rest of the day with maybe 10 fish boated all day, no size to speak of. Fish are deep and plentiful, but how do you make them bite…
