How is the crappie fishing on the lake? Are they good size and quantity?

It was an awesome lake in the late 90s and early 2000s. It’s where I first started crappie fishing. Since then it’s went to [censored] IMO. I’ve fished tournaments since 2015 and that’s the only lake in Texas we haven’t been able to catch 7 fish to weight in at. To be fair to Cooper that was 2016. I prefished it twice a couple weeks before and while it was tough for numbers I had decent sized fish. Thought we could have 10.5–11 pounds on 7. Tourney day the lake was 2’ lower and a lot clearer than when I prefished. We went through my best spot and caught 7-8 fish and all were too small. Prefishing I never threw a fish back. We ran all over the lake and never caught a crappie. With an hour or so left we went right back to where we started and put 3 fish in the boat I think and lost a couple good ones. We won D2 in CAT that tourney with a couple fish. I haven’t been back since then. Gotta drive past too many good lakes to get there.
